Steve Orejudos, Trumpet Stephen Orejudos has an active career as a musician and trumpet teacher in Chicago and the surrounding area. He grew up in the Chicago suburb of Roselle. Following graduation from Lake Park High School, he attended the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Professors Barbara Butler and Charles Geyer, and earned a Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance. He went on to obtain a Master of Music degree from Wichita State University, studying with Judith Saxton and Kevin Hartman. As a professional musician, he has performed extensively with numerous ensembles and artists throughout Chicago and across the Midwest and Northeast U.S. He has been a member of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra and the Wichita Brass Quintet, and he has performed with the Rochester Philharmonic and contemporary music ensemble, CUBE. He has extensive experience performing for professional opera and operetta companies, and has performed in over 30 different productions with such companies as L'Opera Piccola, Da Cornetto Opera, Opera in the Ozarks, and the Ohio Light Opera. |
